MedReach Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions define the rules, responsibilities, and legal agreement governing the use of the MedReach platform.
1. Introduction
MedReach is a digital health platform that connects patients with licensed healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and laboratories in Nigeria.
MedReach does not employ or control these professionals but provides a technology-enabled environment to facilitate access to healthcare services.
By using the MedReach mobile or web applications ("Platform"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and any other guidelines published by MedReach.
2. User Eligibility and Provider Verification
All healthcare providers must be registered with their respective regulatory bodies:
- Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
- Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
- Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN)
- Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
Providers must submit valid licenses, identification, and credentials which are verified before approval.
MedReach reserves the right to suspend accounts that fail to meet regulatory standards.
3. Nature of Services
- MedReach is not a healthcare provider and does not offer medical advice.
- All services are delivered by independent licensed professionals.
- The platform facilitates booking, communication, and payments only.
4. Data Sharing
- Patients consent to receive care via digital consultations.
- Telemedicine limitations are acknowledged.
- Emergency conditions must be treated offline.
5. Payments and Refunds
- Payments are required upfront.
- Follow-up consultations may be discounted or free.
- Payments are held in escrow and released upon service completion.
- Refunds follow the Refund Policy for cancellations or non-delivery.
MedReach does not process cash payments outside the platform.
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- MedReach is not liable for provider misconduct or medical outcomes.
- Each provider is solely responsible for services rendered.
- Service availability is not guaranteed.
7. Provider Responsibilities
- Comply with all regulations and ethical standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
- Keep profile and availability updated.
8. Data Privacy and Security
- Compliance with Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
- Encrypted data storage and controlled access.
- Users may request data access or deletion.
9. Regulatory Compliance
Providers agree to operate within the regulations of MDCN, NMCN, PCN, and MLSCN.
MedReach may cooperate with regulatory investigations where required.
10. Platform Conduct and Use
- No identity misrepresentation
- No harassment or abuse
- No misinformation or fake health data
11. Modification and Updates
MedReach may update these Terms periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Disputes may be resolved through arbitration in Lagos or Abuja, or in court if necessary.
